Programs & Services
Our mission is to increase independence, maximize opportunities, minimize barriers, and enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities.
Easterseals Wisconsin provides vital and unique services, briefly described below, to children and adults with disabilities and their families across our state. Our staff and volunteers are dedicated to helping each person we serve overcome obstacles to independence and reach personal goals.
Located just north of Wisconsin Dells, Easterseals Camp Wawbeek has been providing traditional camp experiences in an accessible environment to children and adults with disabilities since 1938. Specialty sessions for various age groups and interests are offered as well as sessions for veterans and their families.
Also located in Wisconsin Dells, the Wisconsin Elks/Easterseals Respite Camp offers camping and outdoor recreational opportunities for children and adults with disabilities who require individualized support and care. Within small groups, campers can enjoy a program tailored to their needs and interests. And while campers are having a wonderful time, families and caregivers can take advantage of some much-needed time off.
Created in 1992, the Easterseals Wisconsin FARM (Farm Assessment & Rehabilitation Methods) Program helps farmers return to farming after a disabling accident or illness. Since its inception, the FARM Program, with a better than 97% success rate, has helped thousands of farmers with disabilities continue in agriculture, enjoying independence and supporting themselves and their families. The FARM Program proudly serves as the model for similar programs nationwide.
