Respite Apprentices – Summer 2019:
AmeriCorps Respite Apprentices provide recreation and care for children, youth, and adults with disabilities who attend Respite Camp weekends in Wisconsin Dells, WI. Members are responsible for leading campers through program activities and encouraging participation, ensuring camper safety, and assisting with personal care and behavioral needs. Members receive room and board during their weeks at camp, a living allowance, and an education award (the award will equal $2,960.00 if the full term of service is successfully completed). This commitment includes the following required weeks of service: May 20th, 2019 – August 16th, 2019 (plus orientation and training May 20th–May 24th, May 30th– June 7th, 2019).
