Annual Report

Dear Friends,

Often in life, whether business, our personal lives, or nonprofit service, we get stuck in the weeds. While sustenance is essential to operations, it can be difficult to make time to take the 10,000 foot view, to see the forest for the trees, to see the big picture.

At our February board meeting, after years of planning and effort, we were able to achieve the Herculean task of adopting a Strategic Plan to serve as a North Star for Easterseals Wisconsin. There is a vulnerability in honest reflection and assessment of one’s strengths and weaknesses, but vulnerability is imperative for growth. Our adoption of the Plan allowed us to achieve a Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance (BBB WGA) accreditation.

We aim to identify and remediate service gaps to serve more people across the state. We aim to continually refine operations, by identifying and implementing best practices at every level of the organization. We aim to drive more awareness to improve the lives of people with disabilities.

Albert Schweitzer said, “The purpose of human life is to serve, and to show compassion and the will to help others.” The work we have done over the last 12 months and the work that we will continue to do as we grow through the years will help us fulfill that purpose.
