Easter Seals Wisconsin is a non-profit organization providing programs for children, youth and adults with disabilities. Easter Seals Wisconsin operates two therapeutic recreation camps for people with disabilities. Camp Wawbeek provides care in a small group setting while Respite Camp provides one to one care. The quality care provided at both camps allow caregivers a break from the responsibilities of caring for a loved one with a disability. Located in Wisconsin Dells, WI our camps provide campers with extensive recreational opportunities that promote healthy lifestyles, such as sports and games, swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, and a ropes course. These outdoor recreation activities build confidence, promote physical activity, promote independence, encourage mastery of new skills, and build a connection to the natural environment.
Easter Seals Wisconsin is currently looking for 15 AmeriCorps members to serve a minimum 900 hour, thirteen week term at Respite Camp, and 14 AmeriCorps members to serve a minimum 675 hour, ten week term at Camp Wawbeek. AmeriCorps members at both camps will provide personal care and recreation activities that encourage healthy lifestyles for people with disabilities. Wisconsin Dells, a popular tourist town, allows AmeirCorps members to fully enjoy their time off each week from Friday afternoon-Sunday morning.Members will live at camp and receive room and board as well as a living allowance, upon successful completion, members will receive an education award that can be used to pay for education costs or to pay student loans.

AmeriCorps members serving at Respite Camp will serve a minimum of 900 hours from May 24-August 18, 2012. Members will earn a living allowance of $2,000 and, upon successful completion of the full term of service, an education award of $2,775.
AmeriCorps members serving at Camp Wawbeek will serve a minimum of 675 hours from May 24-July 28, 2011. Members will earn a living allowance of $1,400 and, upon successful completion of the full term of service, an education award of $2,114.
