8 Pin Bowling Tournament

The 4^th Annual 8 Pin Tap Bowling Tournament took place Saturday,
April 21, 2012 at the Stout Ale House and Broadway Bowl in
Menomonie raising over $1,800 for Easter Seals Wisconsin.

Team Arg!, a fun group of pirates, won the 2012 Spirit Award

Over 40 people attended the event.  Teams enjoyed 2 games of bowling while competing for 1st and 2nd place prizes, as well as for the “Spirit” Award. The “Spirit” Award is given to the team that dresses in a theme and brings energy to the event.  Our 2012 winner was Team Arg!, a group of bowlers dressed as pirates.  The Menomonie Thunderhawks, the local semi-pro football team, joined us for the festivities.  The team even participated in the bowling tournament with one of the players scoring a 300!  Scott Driver from 92.9 The Big Cheese also joined us for the first half of the event.  Scott is a 2 time NCAA bowling champion.  His energy and expertise added value to the event.  In between the two heats of bowlers, we all took delight in delicious pizza from Broadway Bowl.  We also had the privilege of hearing from a parent of a Respite camper.  Our guest speaker’s message to the attendees was truly touching and drove home the importance of community support.
